Blue Cross Customer Experience: Epic Snail Mail Fail
I receive a lot of junk in the mail and am always amazed at how inefficient and wasteful it is. For example, I'm already a customer so why does Geico continue to send me elaborate postcards and tricky little envelopes disguised as something important, a bill, marketing products I've already purchased and asking me to save money on my current rates by getting Geico?? Seriously, it doesn't take that much effort to scrub your mail list to exclude current customers by name and address. I guess that would be too high tech for...a mailing house. Here's the worst case scenario of customer experience that follows the same annoying wasteful practices and will piss your customer off. Maybe even cause attrition vs grow your business. Blu Cross... Letter 1: Dear Melonie, we've significantly raised you're insurance rates. If you don't like it, cancel. Love, The VP
Letter 2 (received about 1week later): Dear Melonie, Did your company recently raise your insurance rates in this horrible economy, blah blah blah we can save you money...love, some marketing director

Moving day! #roboniMove
Bet you're glad you don't have to do this today. The good news is we've hired Baypark movers. We'll let you know how they did on Yelp. Moving day =pizza for dinner I'm looking foward to Pizza Fusion later since the new place is in their delivery area. It's only 9am I'm already starving.
